Emkay gains on launching ‘Emkay Emerging Stars Fund’

Emkay Global Financial Services is currently trading at Rs. 272.85, up by 0.65 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 272.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 275.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 288.00 and Rs. 270.00 respectively. So far 3182 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 320.70 on 15-Sep-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.00 on 21-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 301.00 and Rs. 259.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 676.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.12% and 27.88% respectively.

Emkay Emerging Stars Trust, sponsored by Emkay Global Financial Services and managed by Emkay Investment Managers (EMIL), has launched Emkay Emerging Stars Fund, a Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF).

Emkay Emerging Stars Fund has received an approval from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and its primary objective will be to generate long term capital appreciation for investors with an investment horizon of five years in Indian equity. In last four and half years, the Fund Management Team of EIML has generated returns at CAGR of over 25%.

Emkay Emerging Stars Fund is a five-year closed ended fund with a fundraising commitment in the range of Rs 200 crore to Rs 300 crore. The Investment Universe of the fund is the top 300 to 1000 companies ranked by market capitalization. These companies will have market capitalization between Rs 500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore and have offered attractive returns historically.
